A Safe Place To Play
The Wood River Valley where the beautiful Big Wood River runs is home to approximately 20,000 residents and is a corridor for thousands of tourists either staying to play, or, heading north into the Sawtooth mountains and Salmon Rivers.
Recreation is the name of the game for so many of hte residents of Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley—as well as the visitors who frequent these scenic mountain towns. Currently, the Big Wood River does not have a safe place for kids, their parents, and friends to immerse themselves in the cool waters.
Friends of Jimmy’s Wave aims to change that by building a surf wave park in Hailey’s Lion’s Park where everyone can safely enjoy and learn to kayak, boogey board, surf, swim, fish, have ADA access, and even just chill by the water and spectate.
